This is a really easy and fun way to string a chic bracelet, perfect for the holidays. There are several variations, but I thought this one was especially pretty for the holidays, as a little bling is essential.

Needed supplies:

  • Czech facet round 4 mm
  • Miyuki seed beads 11/0
  • Fireline 0.15 of 0.20 (You can use beading thread, but that’s not as strong as Fireline)
  • Lobster clasp
  • Extension chain
  • 2 Needles (because you work with two ends of threads)

Step 1)
Cut a length of thread about 70 cm long and attach a needle to each end. While you can do it without a needle, threading with needles makes it much easier. Thread a lobster clasp onto the thread, making sure it’s perfectly centered.

Step 2)
Thread a seed bead onto the wire and then pull the other wire through the same bead in the opposite direction. Gently pull the wires so that the seed bead rests neatly against the lobster clasp. Make sure this is still the center of your wire.

Step 3)
First, thread a faceted bead and then two seed beads onto the right-hand wire. Then, thread two seed beads onto the left-hand wire and then a faceted bead.

Step 4)
Thread a seed bead onto one of the wires, then thread the other wire through the same seed bead in the opposite direction. Pull both wires tight so that the seed bead aligns nicely with the other beads. This creates a sort of circle.

Step 5)
Repeat step 3. On the left side, string two seed beads and a faceted bead. On the right side, string a faceted bead and two seed beads. Make sure your bracelet isn’t reversed, so you continue stringing the same pattern on the same side. So, on the left side, string two seed beads and a faceted bead, and on the right side, string a faceted bead and two seed beads.

Step 6)
Thread a seed bead onto any wire and then thread the other wire in the opposite direction through the same seed bead. Gently pull both wires to ensure the beads are neatly aligned.

Repeat these steps until your bracelet reaches the desired length. Keep in mind that you still need to attach the extension chain. When measuring your wrist circumference, make sure your bracelet is about 2 cm smaller than your wrist size to allow room for the extension chain. This is a personal preference, so adjust it to your liking.

Step 7)
Finish with the seed bead with both threads threaded through it. We’ll attach the extension chain to this seed bead. Take one of the threads and thread it through the last loop of the extension chain, then thread the same thread back through the seed bead. Pull the thread tight. You can now thread the threads back through your bracelet a short distance and tie them securely. Once they’re secure, you can trim off the excess threads. Your bracelet is now finished!
