What could be more fun than wearing or giving something you made yourself during the holidays? You don’t need many materials for this bracelet and it’s quite easy to make.
Needed supplies:
- Miyuki seed beads 11/0 (There are 350 beads in 1 bracelet with 14 stars)
- Fireline wire (0.15mm or 0.20mm)
- Lobster clasp
- Extension chain
- Open ring 5mm
Instructions:
Cut a piece of fireline thread about 80cm long. Stringing thread would also work, but it’s a bit more slippery and therefore harder to use because you need to be able to pull the stars in properly. Of course, that’s a personal preference.

You string 20 beads and tie the thread. This will be the outer edge of your star. You’re stringing 20 beads and want to make 5 points, so that’s 4 beads per point.

Thread one bead and skip three beads, then thread it through the fourth bead. If you pull this tight and help the white bead stay inside, you’ll see the first point of your star.

Then you take 1 white bead again and skip 3 beads again, and thread the 4th bead through it.

Continue this until you’ve finished all 5 points. Pull this tight to create a clear star. Now make sure the thread ends in the most close (outer) point of the star.

Now string 19 beads, because the 20th is the tip of your previous star.

Ring through the first two beads so that they align with the points of your next star. If you don’t do this, the star’s tips won’t line up properly.

Now we’ll continue making the 5 star points. Skip three beads, thread through the fourth bead, and pull it tight.

Your second star is now finished. Now comes a tricky part because you have to thread your thread through the center of the star to the bottom left point for the next star. This way, the stars will alternate nicely from bottom to top of your bracelet. Now repeat steps 5 through 8 until you’ve reached the desired length.
When you’re finished, thread your stars a few more times randomly and tie the thread securely. This will keep your thread secure. Now you can attach a clasp of your choice. I chose a lobster clasp with an extension chain. I attached the open rings through the beads, but if your open rings are too thick for the bead, you can also thread it through a point of the stars.

Now your bracelet is completely finished! You can create countless color combinations with it, and you might also enjoy trying a different size bead, or alternating between them to create larger and smaller stars. You could also string three stars together to create a pendant or as a spacer for a bracelet.
We hope you have lots of fun beading!
