Instructions:
To create a sturdy base for the fringe, begin with a row of nine beads secured using the brick stitch technique. The following photos show how to apply the brick stitch technique to the circle. Begin with a secure double knot to secure the (approximately 150cm) wire and string the beads as follows:

String 2 beads and then pass the needle under the ring and thread it back up through the bottom of the bead.

Pull the thread tight so that the two beads sit neatly next to each other.

Now string 1 bead and go under the ring again and then through the bottom of the bead back up.

You now continue until you have strung all 9 beads.

Now you’re going to string the fringe according to the pattern. Skip the last bead when stringing back so the fringe stays attached to the thread. I always start at the outside of the earring, so you can string the fringe continuously. You don’t need to tie the fringe in between. Don’t string it too tightly, but also not too loosely. Check the fringe’s hanging smoothly every now and then.

This is an example of how to string the fringe on another earring.
Once you’ve threaded all the fringe, thread it randomly through your brick stitch section a few more times to secure the thread. If you’re unsure about the security of this, you can always tie a small knot.

Now hang the studs on them and your beautiful homemade earrings are ready!
