The flowers are easy and fun to make. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll have a whole string of flowers beaded in no time!
You can create many variations by using different colors and sizes of seed beads. Start by stringing a stop bead and bring it to the end of the thread. Make sure you leave about 20 centimeters of thread for finishing your work later.
A stop bead is a bead you thread through twice, so it stays in place.
The bead prevents the other beads from sliding off the thread.
In this example, we’re working with two colors. Color 1 is the color that will appear between the flowers, and color 2 is the color of the flower itself.

In this example we are working with 2 colors. Color 1 is the color that is in between the flowers and color 2 is the color of the flower.
Thread 8 beads on the thread:
– Beads 1 to 3 in color 1
– Beads 4 to 7 in color 2
– Bead number 8 is again in color 1 (Tip: this bead will be the heart of the flower. It is also nice to string this in a 3rd color).
Then put the needle back through bead 4. It is important that you do this in the direction from right to left. Tighten the thread so that half of the flower will take its form.

In this next step the flower will be made whole. Thread 3 beads of color 2 onto the thread. Then pass the needle through bead number 7 again. Tighten the thread.

From here on you repeat steps 1 and 2 until you have reached the desired lenght for the bracelet, necklace or perhaps ring.

Tip: You can adjust the number of beads between the flowers to your desired preference. For example, you can also leave out the space in between so that the flowers are right next to each other. To do this, skip the first 3 beads from step 3a.

TIPS, TRICKS AND VARIATION
- Once you’ve mastered the technique, you can try using different colors and sizes of beads for a playful effect. You can combine 11/0 seed beads with 8/0.
- The best effect is to choose contrasting colors so the flowers are clearly visible.
- You can also choose a faceted or precious bead for the center of the flower.
- For the clasp, you can use a crimp bead to attach a jump ring and clasp. A OT/toggle clasp is also a great option for these bracelets.
- Pull the thread gently and gently. Once the flower is in the right shape, it’s done. Otherwise, you’ll pull it crooked again.

Good luck and have fun!
